My current photography equipment:
Nikon D7000: Nikon’s high end consumer DSLR.
Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens: This is my newest go-to lens. Extremely sharp, and amazing colors. This lens is on my camera 80% of the times!
Nikon 35mm F/1.8G AF-S: Excellent prime lens with wide open 1.8 aperture. Yields sharp pictures with great contrast.
Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR: My travel go-to lens. Great focal length range. Solidly built, great sharpness (especially considering its range).
Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6: A great wide angle lens for my Nikon. This is not a Fisheye, but just a wide angle. I got this and sold my Tamron 10-24mm. Am happy with the swap.
Nikon SB-600 Speedlight: Superseded by SB-700
Software:
Nikon ViewNX: Free software from Nikon, excellent RAW processing capabilities. Realistic colors (Slightly better than Lightroom) A bit cumbersome to use though.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3: Great workflow capabilities, integrated RAW processing.
Filters:
B+W: I’ve used inexpensive filters for my lenses. These were OK for protecting the lens, but had a degrading effect on the picture quality. I started using B+W filters recently, and will never go back. Yes, they are expensive, but the quality is worth it.
Bags, Light modifiers, tripods: Information coming soon..
As you can see, this is an expensive hobby :)
